Shadow Trulove Studios on a Real Client Project

Spend an entire day shadowing Jerrell Trulove and the Trulove Studios team on a real, paid corporate project.

This is not a staged workshop, mock assignment, or prerecorded course. You will be inside an active production with a real client, real expectations, real pressure, and real decisions being made in real time.

You will see how I communicate, lead the team, solve problems, manage the client experience, and deliver professional photo and video services at a high level.

Shadow opportunities are extremely limited and only available on select Trulove Studios projects.

Throughout the day, you will have direct access to ask questions about what you are seeing.

Your experience may vary depending on the project, but a typical shadow opportunity includes:

Most shadow experiences last for the primary production day. Exact schedules, locations, and access will depend on the selected project.

You do not need to own the most expensive equipment.

This Is Not a Workshop

You will not be walking into a controlled environment designed around teaching.

The client and the project come first.

You may not be able to ask a question at the exact moment it enters your mind. Certain conversations, meetings, or production areas may be restricted. You may also be asked to step back while sensitive client matters are being handled.

That is part of learning how professional productions actually work.

This experience is designed to give you access without compromising the client, the production, or the final deliverables.

Shadowing Does Not Guarantee Hands-On Shooting

This is primarily an observation and mentorship opportunity.

Depending on the project, client permissions, production needs, and your experience level, there may be opportunities to assist or participate. However, hands-on shooting is not promised.

The value is in seeing the decisions, communication, systems, and leadership that clients rarely see—and that most courses cannot recreate.

Limited Access Means Limited Availability

Not every Trulove Studios project is available for shadowing.

Each opportunity depends on:

• Client approval

• Project confidentiality

• Location and venue restrictions

• Production size

• The services being provided

• The ability to include a shadow without affecting the client experience

For that reason, only a small number of shadow opportunities will be released.

What Happens After You Apply?

1. Submit Your Application

Tell us about your experience, business, goals, and what you hope to learn.

2. Application Review

We will determine whether you are a good fit for the experience and whether an appropriate project is available.

3. Opportunity Invitation

Approved applicants will receive information about an available project, including the general location, date, schedule, services being provided, and investment.

4. Confirm Your Spot

Your placement is not secured until payment and all required agreements have been completed.

5. Prepare for the Project

You will receive arrival instructions, expectations, dress requirements, confidentiality terms, and any other relevant information before the production.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will shadowing help me become an associate shooter?

The experience may help you better understand our standards, but it does not guarantee future work, referrals, employment, or placement on the Trulove Studios team.

Can I ask questions throughout the day?

Yes, when the production schedule allows. Client needs and active production responsibilities will always take priority.

Are travel and accommodations included?

Unless specifically stated otherwise, transportation, airfare, lodging, meals, parking, and other travel expenses are the responsibility of the participant.

Can I receive a refund if I can no longer attend?

Because access is limited and tied to a specific production, payments are generally nonrefundable. Any cancellation, transfer, or rescheduling terms will be provided before payment.

What happens if the client changes the schedule?

Real projects can change. If a client cancels, reschedules, restricts access, or materially changes the production, Trulove Studios may transfer your payment to another eligible opportunity or provide another resolution according to the participation agreement.
